DRFT (“we”, “our”, “us”) is operated by The Nexus Collective GmbH. This privacy policy describes what personal data we collect on the DRFT website and in the DRFT mobile app, and why.

How we collect data

This website does not use cookies or tracking tools. We do not collect personal data through analytics or advertising. Data is collected when you use the DRFT app or website (device identifier, listening events, artist descriptions you type) or when you email us.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted by DigitalOcean (DigitalOcean, LLC, 101 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10013, USA). Server log files may include time of request, referrer URL, operating system, browser type and version, and IP address. This data is not merged with other sources and is deleted after a short period. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

3. Your rights

You may request information, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]. You may lodge a complaint with the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 22, 20459 Hamburg, https://datenschutz-hamburg.de.

4. Data we process in the DRFT app

• Anonymous device identifier. A randomly generated string stored on your device. Used to keep your session, associate artists you create with the device, and prevent abuse. It is not linked to your name, email, or Apple/Google ID.
• Listening events. Track ID, artist ID, and how long you listened — to improve recommendations.
• Artist descriptions. The free-text description and optional genre, mood, and song-topic choices when you create an AI artist. Do not enter personal data about real people.
• Creation-flow events. First-party product events (e.g. “creation completed”).
• Advertising measurement (app only). If you allow tracking on iOS, we may collect the advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID) and send install and conversion events to Meta and TikTok so we can measure ads and show fewer irrelevant ones. Without consent we still send aggregated SKAdNetwork / equivalent signals. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
• Email (optional). Only if you claim an artist, we store the email you enter to send a login link.
• Locale. Preferred language, so we can surface music you understand.

Creation works without a web account. We do not collect contacts, photos (except a reel saved locally so you can share it to TikTok), location, microphone, or camera. Advertising identifiers are collected only after you allow tracking, as described above.

5. Sharing with AI service providers

To generate artists, images, music, and short video clips we transmit your artist description (or texts derived from it) to:

• OpenRouter (OpenRouter, Inc., USA) — text generation
• Runware (Runware Inc., USA) — image generation
• udioapi.pro / Udio (USA) — music generation
• Higgsfield (USA) — short video clips from already generated artist images

We never send these providers your device identifier, email, or other account data. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (providing the service you requested). We do not sell your data.

6. Sharing to TikTok and Instagram

If you tap share, the app opens TikTok or Instagram with a reel you chose so you can post it to your own account. We do not post on your behalf, do not read your TikTok or Instagram account, and do not request those platforms’ login kits for this share. The video file may be saved to your Photos library only so the share SDK can hand it to the other app.

7. Storage and deletion

Created artists and generated content are stored on our servers to provide the service. In the app: Settings → Data → Delete all data on this device. To delete server-side data, email [email protected] or [email protected].

8. Children

DRFT is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
